Conventional UV CTP (Computer To Plate) plates refer to a type of plate used in CTP technology for ultraviolet (UV) curing. This technology allows printing companies to create plates directly from computer-generated image data without using traditional film steps, thereby improving efficiency and precision.
Features of Conventional UV CTP plates including:
- High resolution: Conventional UV CTP plates are able to provide very high resolution, ensuring that the details of printed products are clearer and more accurate.
- Fast imaging: Since the laser imaging is directly performed, the intermediate steps are reduced, so the plate making speed is faster.
- Good stability: Conventional UV CTP plates show good stability and durability during the printing process, and can withstand long-term printing operations without being easily damaged.
- Environmental benefits: Compared with traditional plate making methods, the use of chemicals is reduced and environmental pollution is reduced.
- Strong adaptability: Suitable for many types of printing work, including commercial printing, packaging printing, etc.
Working principle
The UV CTP system is mainly composed of a computer, a RIP (raster image processor), and a CTP plate making machine. First, the designed graphic information is processed by the computer and sent to the RIP for screening, and then the processed image is transmitted to the CTP platemaker. The CTP platemaker uses a laser beam to expose the printing plate according to the image information, and then the printing plate can be used for printing after development, fixing and other processing processes.
Scope of application
- Commercial printing: such as books, magazines, brochures, etc.
- Packaging printing: including food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging and other products that require high-quality printing effects.
- Label printing: such as product labels, barcode labels, etc.
Development trend
With the advancement of technology, conventional UV CTP printing plates are developing towards higher efficiency, lower cost and better environmental friendliness. For example, the application of new materials makes the printing plates more durable and easy to recycle; at the same time, the increase in automation has further simplified the operation process and improved work efficiency.
In short, conventional UV CTP plates have brought significant advantages to the printing industry, not only improving printing quality, but also promoting the digital transformation of the industry.
