Presensitized plate is a printing plate used in offset lithography that has been pretreated with a light-sensitive coating. As the name suggests, pre sensitized plate already have a coating of light-sensitive material on them before being used, so they can be directly be exposed. PS plates can be both positive or negative working depending upon the type of light-sensitive coating used on the plates.

The Specification of Pre-sensitized Plate:

Presensitized plates consist of a thin film of light-sensitive material -- usually a diazo compound or a photopolymer -- that is coated on the sheet metal. Photopolymer coatings consist of polymers and photosensitizers that react (crosslink) during exposure to light to produce a tough, long-wearing image area. Diazo coatings also react with light to produce a tough, long-wearing image area. After exposure, the plates require special organic or aqueous solvents for processing. Both negative-working and positive-working plates are available with diazo or photopolymer coatings.

The packaging of Presensitized Plates For Offset Printing:

Two coated sides are placed facing each other, separated by neutral backing paper in the middle, the outside is covered with plastic lined black kraft paper and placed in the carton box,each carton box is loaded around 50 -100 pieces. Loaded carton boxes on the wooden pallet protected with wooden frames or cardboard. Finally, wrap it with kraft paper or plastic film and tighten by plastic tapes.
