PS plates, also known as "presensitized plates" or "PS printing plates", there are of two types of PS plates: "photopolymerized" and "photolyzed". These two types differ in sensitized and processing, but both are used to produce printing layouts. PS plates play an important role in the modern printing industry due to their high resolution, good oleophilicity and hydrophilicity, high print resistance, and environmental friendliness, etc. The production process of PS plates is very simple and easy.
The production process of PS plates mainly includes substrate preparation, coating of presensitized layer, drying and curing, cutting and processing, and packaging and storage. The production process requires strict control of the parameters of each link to ensure that the quality and performance of the PS plates meet the requirements. The thickness of PS printing plates is generally between 0.15mm and 0.4mm, which can be customized according to the printing requirements.
PS plates have the following characteristics:
High resolution: the PS plate has a fine grit, high resolution, and the formation of a smooth and complete dot, so the hue reproducibility is good and the image clarity is high.
Good oleophilicity and hydrophilicity: the oleophilic part of PS plate is composed of diazo photopolymeric resin, which has good oleophilicity and abrasion resistance; while the hydrophilic part is aluminum trioxide film, which has good hydrophilicity.
High print resistance: After baking at a specific temperature, the photopolymerized film is enameled, which improves the hardness and print resistance of the printing plate to 200,000 to 300,000 sheets.
Environmental protection: PS plate has less pollution to the environment in the process of production and use.
PS plate has been widely used in modern printing processes such as electronic typesetting, electronic color separation, multi-color offset printing, etc. It has become the mainstream plate making system today. It is suitable for the production of various printed materials, such as posters, business cards, brochures, books, newspapers, etc. In addition, PS printing plate is also commonly used in packaging printing, label printing and other fields.
